Growing up in Haines City, Florida, and later moving to Rochester, New York, and now residing in Waxhaw, NC, my early relationship with cooking was simple: my mother, an incredible chef in her own right, prepared every meal for me and my siblings, filling our home with warmth and love. I have fond memories of our Sunday meals, where we gathered not around the dining table, but in the living room, sharing laughter and stories over the delicious dishes she crafted. It wasn’t until my thirties, when I found myself cooking for family reunions and small charity events, that I discovered my own passion for creating meals that not only nourish but also bring people together.
At LoS Private Catering and Personal Chef, I embrace the essence of Soul Food—a cuisine that resonates deeply with my upbringing and reflects the flavors of love and community.
